Overview

ERNiCrMo-4 is a nickel-based superalloy with nickel, chromium, molybdenum and other elements as its main components. Among them, nickel is the main element in the alloy, which can improve the corrosion resistance and high temperature strength of the alloy. Chromium can improve the oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance of the alloy. Molybdenum element can improve the high temperature strength and toughness of the alloy. In addition, ERNiCrMo-4 also contains a certain amount of iron, cobalt and other elements to adjust the mechanical properties and processing properties of the alloy.

ERNiCrMo-4 Nickel Alloy C276 is used for welding materials of similar chemical composition as well as dissimilar materials of nickel base alloys, steels and stainless steels.  This alloy can also be used for cladding steel with nickel-chrome-molybdenum weld metal.

ERNiCrMo-4 (Weldme 276) have an excellent corrosion resistance in a wide range of severe environments. The high molybdenum content makes the alloy especially resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion. The low carbon content minimizes carbide precipitation during welding to maintain corrosion resistance in as-welded structures.

Corrosion Resistance

ERNiCrMo-4 has excellent corrosion resistance and can resist the role of corrosive media such as atmosphere, seawater, acid and alkali. At high temperatures, the chromium element in the alloy can form a dense oxide film, which further enhances its corrosion resistance.
