Overview

ERNiCr-3 is a kind of nickel-chromium-molybdenum nickel base alloy welding wire. This kind of welding wire has good mechanical properties, strong corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance, and high creep strength. In the welding process, it has stable arc, beautiful weld formation, good flow of hot metal, so it has excellent welding process performance.

The main use of ERNiCr-3 welding wire is the welding of nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloys, such as Inconel600, 601 and Incoloy800 alloys, can also be used for the welding of these alloys with carbon steel, stainless steel and other dissimilar materials, as well as surface welding. In addition, due to its good corrosion resistance, ERNiCr-3 is also widely used for welding in chlorine-containing environments such as desalination plants.

Corrosion Resistance

ERNiCr-3 welding wire has excellent corrosion resistance. This is mainly due to its high proportion of nickel and chromium components. Nickel has good corrosion resistance and can resist the erosion of acid, alkali, salt and other media. Chromium can form a dense oxide film on the surface of the alloy, effectively preventing the corrosive medium from invading the inside of the material, thereby protecting the material from corrosion.

ERNiCr-3 welding wire is therefore stable in a variety of corrosive environments, such as acidic, alkaline and saline environments. This makes it ideal for welding materials such as high-alloy steel, stainless steel, nickel-based alloys, and other corrosion-resistant alloys including zirconium, tungsten, cobalt, and tantalum.
